Description:
A world class Risk Management Consultancy is currently looking for an Analyst to join their Financial Economic Application (FEA) team. Based in Edinburgh (for the right candidate, there is a possibility that this role may be situated in London), you will be working closely with the team to develop new calibrations and models to model economic variable and asset prices, then delivering those models as well as providing calibrating and consulting solutions for their clients, so a pragmatic approach to problem solving is an advantage. You will also be working with their quantitative team to calibrate set targets for real world models. You must have a good first degree in a quantitative subject and a post graduate degree in economics or a related subject. Relevant work experience is a must (2-4 years in a role with a central bank, academic institution, consultancy, investment bank, asset management or an insurance company). Knowledge of financial markets and maths is preferred and Excel/ VBA/ R/ Matlab development experience. If you have all these and excellent communications skills, an ability to use those skills to explain complex technical ideas to both clients and colleagues, whilst having an ability to work to demanding time scales then please contact Georgie Maudslay on 020 7448 8550.
