Description:

An excellent opportunity to join a leading Insurer and Syndicate based in the City. This role sits within the UK Pricing / Capital team, which reports into the UK Underwriting Director. The team is focused on maximising the UK's return on capital through optimising capital, growth and profit objectives. As Pricing Analyst, you will provide capital and pricing support and analysis to the UK. The company writes a growing book of high net worth household plus motor, and SME commercial insurance, both direct and through the broker channel. The role will suit an individual looking to influence the profitable growth of the UK book through recommending capital and pricing actions based on statistical analysis of data. As the date for Solvency II implementation approaches, capital management and its allocation is coming increasingly to the fore. The team (and this role) will play a critical part in embedding the efficient management of capital into the UK business. Successful applicants will posses strong analytical skills and will have an aptitude for creative problem solving as well as excellent spreadsheet and data manipulation skills.
