Leading Lloyd's Syndicate has a requirement for a Property Claims Adjuster to handle a portfolio of mainly lead property business from the UK. This role would suit an individual with the desire to progress quickly, yet who already has a strong grounding in the Property Claims arena (ideally UK, but US experience considered). Specific duties will include:- Taking responsibility for various lead accounts within the Property team - Types of account written include a range of UK commercial enterprises as well as homeowners. The business is written as open market risks as well as through binding authorities and some facultative reinsurance. Relationship management responsibilities which entail developing accounts and retaining business by working with Insureds, Brokers and Underwriters. Adjusting claims from first advice through to settlement via a paper file or ECF as applicable. Undertaking the management of a large number of losses including maintaining all relevant reporting criteria in order to meet group claims objectives and targets. Providing account analysis pre-renewal. Attend settlement discussions, mediation and any dispute resolution proceedings where necessary. The ideal candidate will have the ability to identify problems early and provide suitable solutions promptly in addition to being able to work on own initiative and have the courage of own convictions to make decisions.
