Our client a leading International Insurance Company is seeking a Claims Adjuster to join their property team based in London who will be predominately working on UK based business. The main purpose of the role will be to provide the effective adjustment of claims for the property portfolio and to assist the Senior Adjuster with reporting on loss ratios to the claims management team and underwriters. In addition this individual will be dealing with cover holders on claims issues when appropriate whilst effectively liaising with Brokers and third parties in the adjustment of the claims. The role will also entail the following; providing explanations to customers and brokers/intermediaries, handling claims that fall within agreed terms, responding to clients requirements and acquiring feedback from customers, brokers and intermediaries, creating reports, interpreting financial reports, effectively negotiating with both internal and external parties to a claim, maintaining accurate claims records, developing internal and external customer relationships and investigating claims. The ideal candidate for this role will hold several years’ relevant industry experience and will have a clear understanding of legal principles and be able to work closely with solicitors and in addition will be ACII qualified or progressing towards this.
