A leading Insurance Company are seeking an experienced Development Underwriter to join their SME team based in their City office. The main purpose of the role will be to both develop and manage a portfolio of SME business and will entail the following; developing the underwriting strategy for the new SME product range, contributing to the pricing strategy of the portfolio, designing new products and reviewing existing products, continuously monitoring the performance of new and existing products, producing new and reviewing existing wordings, acting as a technical referral point, liaising effectively with internal staff, clients and brokers and monitoring the performance and profitability of the existing portfolio. The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following; experience of managing portfolios and products, excellent technical underwriting skills in property/liability/packages and SME products, a good knowledge of the SME market and its challenges, project management and change management skills and hold great relationship and management skills.
