Description:

We have just obtained a new and exciting contract with a market leader in Insurance and Financial Services. The client is recruiting for an experienced technical Underwriter within Personal Lines who can deliver Underwriting strategy for the business. Based in the Birmingham office, you will be required to maximise profitability of the Household and Buy-to-Let accounts through a programme of channel, scheme and product reviews. The objective will be achieved through proactive technical management of delegated authority schemes, including performance analysis. You will be an experienced people manager with excellent motivation and communication skills to ensure development needs of the team and the business are met. The successful candidate will come from a background of a strong working knowledge of Household and Let Property underwriting and preferably a good understanding of creditor products, experience of broker scheme development with excellent relationship skills. A good academic background is required and ideally be ACII qualified or have made progression towards this.
