A major and well respected Insurance a Reinsurance company based in the heart of the London Market has created an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant to join its Financial Production and Analysis team as a Lead Financial Management Accountant. This team is responsible for the production and analysis of financial year underwriting information and a large amount of the management reporting that is used to support the development of the business. Principal accountabilities in this role would be the maintenance, development, control and operation of the annual accounting model working alongside the Financial Production and Analysis Manager, support the running and development of the annually accounting models, participate in the production and reporting of Financial plan and actual information for the SBU’s (Strategic Business Units) that will support the management and performance evaluation of the SBU’s, support in the design and ongoing strategic financial reporting of the group, participate and work with the underwriters in the formulation of the quarterly business plan and work with the business in the financial and operational evaluation of new initiatives. Applicants will ideally be qualified accountants with process management accounting experience and excellent IT skills including the use of Excel to an advanced level. Previous relevant experience is essential. Insurance knowledge is preferred but not essential.
