Description:

International insurance and reinsurance group has asked us to assist them in recruiting a General Counsel & Group Company Secretary based out of their London office. The role requires someone with a solid foundation in the insurance & reinsurance market from both a legal and commercial perspective not only within the London market itself but internationally as this role will be fully involved in new product lines and the continued development of the group. In addition the following experience is also essential for this role: - • General commercial work i.e. acquisitions, leases, IT contracts/non-disclosure agreements, service provider contracts, commutations, trust arrangements. • Advising on Terms of Business Agreements with brokers, with knowledge of client money rules and basis on which client monies are held. • Good knowledge of the Lloyd’s market and Name issues. • Corporate Governance Outside the technical experience, the successful hire will be commercial and pragmatic and be able to come on board with a pro-active and solution orientated approach. There is already a team in place and it is essential that the new General Counsel continues to provide the support and development expected of management within this organisation.
