A new opportunity has arisen within a leading Personal Lines insurer based in Berkshire. Our client is seeking a Senior Household Underwriter whose principle accountabilities and responsibilities will include the following; contributing to the profitable development of all Household and Travel business through underwriting, monitoring and analysing accounts performance, ensuring the underwriting rates and rules are accurately applied, recommending changes to the underwriting processes, contributing to the development of new products, carrying out audits, delivering technical training sessions, acting as a deputy to the Manager, contributing to the development of new Household and Travel schemes and adhering to FSA regulations. The ideal candidate for this opportunity will hold the following skills and qualifications; a sound understanding of household underwriting principles, strong analytical and decision making skills, a good understanding of the markets legal/industry development, excellent communication skills, the ability to work closely with others and would ideally be progressing towards the ACII qualifications.
