Solvency II is a fundamental review of the capital adequacy and risk management standards for the European insurance industry, with a view to strengthening the prudential regulation of the sector. As the sole regulator of the UK financial services industry, the Financial Services Authority (FSA) has a unique and influential role to play in its implementation, which will involve significant infrastructural and cultural change for both us and the firms we supervise.
Are you keen to develop your career at the heart of Solvency II implementation? We currently have a number of exciting job opportunities through which you can gain a detailed understanding of the future insurance regulatory framework and make a difference across the entire industry.
We need Supervisors who can engage with senior management in regulated firms and make risk-based judgements. We also need individuals in areas of policy-making to analysis at various levels including Market Risk specialists and Life/Non-Life Actuaries. Each involves working with firms throughout the industry and other disciplines within the FSA - so you'll need to be a team player who can translate technical concepts into practical solutions and have the stakeholder management skills to influence and negotiate at the highest levels.
